Where there is no desire to make use of any living being to accomplish any sort of work, compassion (karuna) arises from that very point. Compassion cannot exist as long as there is a mutual dependency. The relationship of giving support and taking support should not be there. ‘One’ may definitely be a supporter to someone else, but One Himself does not take the support of anyone!

Knowledge of the Self (Gnan) is born only out of compassion (karuna). The One for whom the seed of kaarunyata (unconditional, constant compassion) has been sown, for Him, the Gnan will definitely manifest.

Gnan (Knowledge of the Self) manifests only through that.
